“The universe is movement; even things that seem static move on different planes. I love painting in motion and creating in space and time”. César
The artworks of César
Digital Artist
When I met César some 25 years ago, (when he was 25), I asked him what he wanted from life. I wanted to know what were his dreams, what was his main goal. And he answered: tranquillity.
–I want to be calm –He told me.
This is what one finds in this artist’s work. César creates from a place where calm resides. He enters into this inner realm from where the breezes and sounds of the sea issue. This is the place within from where César brings tranquillity to the world and is enabled to communicate it using the universal language of the image; through beauty, harmony, the exquisite use of movement and colour; through the qualities of strength and mystery.
Plato writes:“ The power of the Good has taken refuge in the nature of the Beautiful”. This is what you can come to know through his art. The artworks of César are ‘Good’.
This Caesar is also a conqueror, but like the great sages, he understands that to create a serene world we must breathe serenity. His conquest is silent. He uses this throughout his artworks. Gently but with forcefulness. Repeatedly. With the constancy of an infinite loop. This is what he brings to the world. The transformation of spaces into places more beautiful and serene. César wants us to stop thinking and just enjoy the visual sensations which he brings us. In this sense we have a gift. The artworks teach us to surrender ourselves to the experience without resistance.
César’s artworks liven up our spaces. They have their own life and, as during the Renaissance, César gives back a splendour to our walls, ridding them of their deadly and dreary appearance. César is playful and in a way is a magician who is able to transform a room completely.
César lends his soul to the machine and constructs dialogues with us. He speaks to aspects of our being of which we are not even conscious. It is a reminder of the kind–hearted people we really are. His art communicates instinctively, as art has done since early mankind created the first cave paintings. Because there is a type of Art that makes us stronger, braver, kinder; It makes us better people and makes us feel better. In this sense it is a sacred art. Because it wants Goodness, it promotes Goodness. It inspires Goodness.
